The National Emergency Management Organisation (NEMO) has the mandate of mobilising the people of Saint Lucia to prepare and mitigate against disaster/hazards. In order to effectively carry out this mandate, NEMO needed an independent trademark. A brand which would be easily identifiable to Saint Lucians. Their look varied from one publication, media outlet or article to another.
Savvy Caribbean Marketing proposed a total makeover. We worked closely with the Director to develop a mark which had a distinct look and feel and was easily identifiable across the island. We also developed a website which was in keeping with the new brand.
How NEMO measured success
The benchmark used to measure the outcome of the rebrand was twofold. There was stronger brand recognition when compared to other Disaster Agencies around the Region, which also resulted in an increase in partnerships due to renewed confidence in the Agency and its activities.
